Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Protect Our Law enforcement with Immigration Control and Enforcement Act of 2023'' or the ``POLICE Act of 2023''. SEC. 2. ASSAULT OF A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER. Section 237(a)(2) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1227(a)(2)) is amended-- ``(G) Assault of law enforcement officers.--Any alien who assaults a law enforcement officer is deportable.''. <all>
