Whereas, on September 25, 2024, Representative Glen Clay Higgins used his official account on X to publicly slander, insult, and demean all Haitians and Haitian Americans in an overtly racist post, referring to Haiti as the ``nastiest country in the Western Hemisphere'', falsely accusing Haitians of eating pets, denigrating Haitians as ``slapstick gangsters'' and ``thugs'', and threatening Haitians to ``get their mind right and their ass out of our country before January 20th'': Now, therefore, be it Resolved, That-- (1) the House of Representatives censures Glen Clay Higgins, Representative of the 3rd Congressional District of Louisiana; (2) Representative Glen Clay Higgins will forthwith present himself in the well of the House of Representatives for the pronouncement of censure; and (3) Representative Glen Clay Higgins will be censured with the public reading of this resolution by the Speaker. <all>
