The Next Wave (TNW) is a journal dedicated to exploring research and technological advancements within the National Security Agency (NSA). Initially launched in 1992 as an internal employee newsletter named Tech Trend Notes, TNW transitioned into a public publication in 2004 due to increased readership and external demand. GovInfo hosts more than 25 of these digital publications dating back to 2008. Each edition discusses a multitude of technological topics, ranging from cybersecurity to machine learning. TNW is intended to strengthen relationships with federal labs, industry, academia, and the public by presenting high quality and peer reviewed research.
